We ask donors and recipients to accept a quality charter when registering on the Bourse aux dons. Click here to learn more about this. Below you will find the quality charter for a recipient: The organization/association receives access to the “Bourse aux dons” platform as a potential beneficiary of food donations. The organization/association/company meets the following quality criteria: - It is a non-profit organization or association, or a social enterprise, and not an individual.
- The food items received are not used as such for commercial purposes but only:
- as part of the fight against poverty (food aid in its various forms: distribution of parcels or meals, social grocery stores, social restaurants…)
- and/or as part of the social integration of disadvantaged groups (e.g.: A social economy enterprise providing jobs as well as goods to disadvantaged people).
- It complies with food safety regulations corresponding to the activities carried out and takes all appropriate measures to this effect (www.favv.be/legislation and www.favv.be/denreesalimentaires/circulaires). It has the necessary registrations and authorizations from the FASFC – Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain (www.favv.be/agrements). Your FASFC number will be requested in the next step of the platform registration procedure.
- It assumes its own legal responsibility for products received through the website and which it redistributes. The donor, the beneficiary, and the transporter are each responsible for the activities they carry out.
- The owners/administrators who make this donation platform available as a service provider cannot be held responsible for the products offered.
In the event that the platform administrators notice non-compliance with this Quality Framework, they ask the organization/association/company to provide explanations and rectify the situation. In case of no response, insufficient explanation, or failure to rectify, the administrators may decide to block the user’s access. |
